Balanga City :: Holyweek (Traditional Sinakulo)

The Holy week celebration, particularly Good Friday, is a display of devoutness and traditional pomp or yung tinatawag nating pinitencia. As part of our tradition and belief, marami sa ating mga filipino ang nagpupunta sa iba't-ibang lugar just to ask for forgiveness of their sin and to thank God for his sacrifices just to redeem our sins.

At kagaya nga ng aking nakaugalian, yearly me and my family are spending some time para lang mapanood ang "SINAKULO" na ginaganap sa mismong PLAZA NG BALANGA, Medyo matagal din kaming naghintay sa pagdating ng mga gumaganap sa sinakulo, but our long time waiting is replenish with excitement and fun, when the "SINAKULO" was arrived.

Pinitencia (Pagpapadugo)
I uploaded video of the actual footage during the "Sinakulo" Here is the Link

Hostage Drama - Manila Philippines

After the hostage drama held early this morning at the Manila City Hall; our country are on the center of discussion in every part of the world this is after the hostage taking of Mr. Jun Ducat to the 32 Day Care Students and Two teachers of Parola Tondo Manila together with the other two guys.

According to Deogracias Bugaran (Driver of the Hot Car that used during the hostage taking) while they are on their way to Tagaytay the hostage taker told him to stop for awhile at the Manila City Hall to pick up the other two Councilor who will accompanied with them during the tour. When the bus are totally stop at P. Burgos in front of Monument of Bonifacio which is beside the City Hall, the bus driver ask for permission to take a cigarette, but after he totally leave the bus, he heard Mr. Ducat telling him that this is a Hostage and he did not waste any single time but to leave the children to Mr. Ducat.

At exactly 9 o'clock in the morning the hostage taker post a message in front of the Wind Shield of the Bus telling the people that they are taking the 32 Students and 2 Teachers as their hostage. The hostage taker Jun Ducat asked the Media to give a call to Senator Revilla and he wanted to talk to him regarding the demands asked by Jun Ducat. The negotiation last for almost 30 Minutes and after that Mr. Revilla come out and he says that the hostage taker wanted to took the attention of the government and he just wanted to ask for help for the poor people, and he insist that he just doing this just for the poor people who needs Education, Shelter Foods and other demands.

And one of his statement says "HUWAG IASA ANG KINABUKASAN SA MGA PULITIKO. Sa mga pulitikong walang ginawa kundi MANGAKO! Sa mga pulitikong napakalaki ng ginagastos sa kampanya…sa mga pulitikong magkakamag-anak.

There are so many things that he wanted to let us know, and he wanted us to become aware on different crisis that we are facing right now, one of this is the corruption, poverty and the political crisis.

Do you really love your country?

While surfing the net i've seen this post at one blog (no need to mention it) while reading this letter i feel the truth beyond the election, the truth that all political candidates are using their power in their own aspects.

Dear Fellow Filipino,

Good day to all of you! Before I begin my letter... just a disclaimer, for people who know me they know that I love the Philippines very much and I am not really one who rants and complaints to high heavens about what is happening to our country and does nothing about it, in fact, I feel that at my relatively young age of 27, I have done much service to the Philippines by setting up Pathways to Higher Education which has sent more than 500 poor but deserving students to college and AHON Foundation which has already built two public elementary school libraries that have benefitted more than 3,500 students. Yet, after seeing how events in our nation have transpired the past few weeks and talking with some friends, I feel the urge to share with you my own thoughts and feelings.

Over the weekend, we saw the completion of two major political alliances for this coming Senate Elections that has just began here in the Philippines . Now we have two political forces with familiar faces nonetheless on opposite sides of the fences. On one end, you have Tito Sotto and Tessie Aquino-Oreta who were two major stalwarts of the opposition and the FPJ Campaign in 2004 hobnobbing with the woman (Pres. GMA) whom they claimed to have cheated FPJ in the last Presidential Elections. On the other side of the fence, you see Manny Villar, the former house speaker who was actually responsible for impeaching Erap now part of the United Opposition who is led by no less than... Erap himself. Now if you don't see anything wrong with this picture then you must be one of the many Filipinos who have accepted this very sad reality that there is indeed no permanent ideals that our government leaders stand up for but rather they just go where there self-interests can best be served. It is this kind of politics why I no longer wonder why good people like Ramon Magsaysay Awardee Mayor Jesse Robredo of Naga City or outstanding Bulacan Governor Josie Dela Cruz will find it hard or worse, never be elected to national positions.

It is with these in mind that I'd like to share with you what are events this coming May elections that will make me consider leaving the Philippines :

1.) If former COMELEC Commissioner Virgilio Garcillano of Hello Garci fame wins in his bid to become Congressman of Bukidnon...seeking to replace a good man no less in incumbent Cong. Neric Acosta... We would really be the laughing stock of the whole world if we allow a man with the reputation of Garci to be one of our so called "Honorable Gentlemen".

2.) If Dancing Queen Tessie Aquino Oreta reclaims her seat at the Senate... I hope that all of us would still remember that dance that she did during the 2001 impeachment hearings after they voted to overrule the decision of then Chief Justice Davide... let us make sure that people like her never make it to the Senate again.

3.) If Richard Gomez becomes a senator... what does he know about making laws? We already have the likes of Bong Revilla and Lito Lapid in the Senate and their performance or lack of it would be reason enough not to elect another actor who has no prior experience in government to the distinguished halls of the Senate.

4.) If Gringo Honasan wins again.... have we not learned our lesson? I cannot believe that just because someone is charismatic then we will just elect him to become one of our senators despite the fact that he has time and again caused so much instability in our country... if we want a military junta similar to that of Thailand ... then lets all vote for this guy....

5.) If Manny Pacquiao becomes Congressman of General Santos City... everybody loves Manny the Boxing Champ but Manny the Lawmaker? Lets be realistic here, Manny is our Hero alright but I think it takes more than just great boxing skills and a desire to serve to be able to make appropriate laws that would help uplift the lives of the many Filipinos who live in Poverty.

6.) If Lito Lapid wins for Mayor of Makati City... I don't like Jojo Binay as well but Lito Lapid as city mayor of the country's finance and business center?!?! And do you really think he is from Makati and has good plans for the city? The Arroyos asking someone like him to run just goes to show you how much love and concern this government has for our country.

7.) If Chavit Singson becomes a Senator, Illegal Gambling = Chavit... enough said.

Now if all of these 7 things happen during this coming elections then don't be surprised if I decide to leave this country that I love dearly. Like I said during the first part of my letter, I feel that I have done much for this country but I think its time that Filipinos become more vigilant and critical in selecting our leaders for the sake of our future and the generations that will go beyond us. So I appeal to every Filipino who asks what can I actually do for my country... Choose and vote for the right people this coming elections, huwag na tayong magpaloko sa mga kandidatong maganda lang ang jingle o gwapo lang sa mga poster. Let us choose leaders who have a good track record for service and who are genuinely committed towards serving our country.

Thank you very much for your time in reading this letter.

Sincerely,

Harvey S. Keh

Britney Spears, a pair of tattoo and a bunch of shave head

Britney Spears fans are shocked with her new hair style, this is after she go to her hair stylist and asked her stylist to shave her head, due to doubt that Britney Spears are just kidding, her stylist refuse her request, and after that Britney Spears grabbed the clipper and shaved her head with herself.
After that shocking hair style, Britney Spears are caught by one of the Los Angeles Television videographer and grabbed a video of her on a tattoo parlor. She was there to get a couple of tattoo on her wrist, a pair of pink and red lips. According to US Magazine, Ms. Spears got a black, white and pink cross tattooed on her lower lips, for whatever purpose she's the only who knows why.
A parlor employee said Spears showed up unannounced and stayed for about 90 minutes, while dozens of fans, photographers and gawkers gathered outside.
The employee told US Magazine that Spears was agitated when she arrived at the tattoo parlor and that when someone asked her why she shaved her head, Spears said, “I don’t want anyone touching me. I’m tired of everybody touching me.”

The woman said Spears “wasn’t making sense at all” and that it seemed like she wasn’t in a good place. She said Spears was “totally freaking out.”

“She was a nightmare to deal with,” the woman told the magazine. “She was screaming and flipping out from the pain and wiggling her body all around.”

Police eventually arrived to control the crowd and help Spears’ bodyguards guide her into a waiting SUV. And by that time, she had covered her head with the hood of a sweatshirt.
As for the new bald look, one fan who’s not terribly thrilled said, “It looks terrible.”
Earlier in the week, Spears checked into a rehabilitation facility and then quickly checked out, People Magazine reported.

People reported that the pop diva checked herself into Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Centre in Antigua but left after one day.
Meanwhile, an e-mail on Tuesday from Spears’ former assistant said the pop star needs to get her act together because she is headed for “rock bottom.”

Since filing for divorce from Kevin Federline in November, Spears has drawn criticism for her drinking, partying and sloppy appearance.

In her e-mail, Culotta said that Spears’ family and close friends are trying to help her. Culotta said she is now working as a corporate flight attendant and living in Mississippi.

According to the famous psychiatrist in Los Angeles, if Britney Spears continue her unexplained mental behavior, there is a possibility that the incident that happen to Nicole Anne Smith will be soon her destiny, and soon it will cause the end of her career.
